Reddit user Jack_does_reddit even combined the two using a manga panel from Part 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It is highly unlikely that the cute duck Quaxly is a member of a gang, though this hasn't stopped fans comparing the pompadour worn by both the Pokemon Scarlet and Violetand JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters. Both Quaxly and Josuke of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure wear a pompadour hairstyle, which in Japanese media is stereotypically associated with gang members and thugs. One fan though, has instead taken inspiration from Quaxly's "hair," which looks like the hair of one of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's protagonists. Already, fans are picking their favorite of these three, with many making interesting fan arts and animations dedicated to their chosen starter. So far, the starters are the laid-back fire crocodile Fuecoco, the grass-type cat Pokemon Sprigatito, and the duck with an interesting hairdo, Quaxly. So far, not much has been revealed on these new titles besides the fact that they are coming later this year alongside confirmations of what the starters will look like.
With over 900 Pokemon for players to train and battle with, Pokemon doesn't show any signs of slowing down either, especially since the reveal of the 9th Generation of Pokemon games in Pokemon Scarletand Violet. The Pokemon franchise is one of the most widely recognized gaming franchises in the world today.
